Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who can be responsible for their own safety.  Although we are based in Retford in North Nottinghamshire some Members do travel fro as far away as Nottingham and Lincoln.

 

Fees  

The Annual Membership fee is currently £10 per person.  This is payable by the end of January each year.

In addition there is a Member's Meeting Fee, which is currently £2 per person per Indoor Meeting.  This goes towards paying for the hire of the Venue for Meetings (Hallcroft Community Centre) and to the payment of the fee charged by individual Speakers.​

Non-Members are welcomed and the fee for them is £3.50 per person per Meeting. ​

Advantages of Membership

• Lower Indoor Meeting fees.

• Subsidy on coach fares when they are used for Outdoor Visits.

• Reminders of Meetings and other MEA activities, plus some other local groups which are environmental or wildlife related.

• Opportunity to become involved in the organisation of the Association.

• Email communications from the Association Secretary.  The majority of our communication is electronic as it saves the Secretary time and the Association money.

• Those without Email will always be welcome and will receive communications by Royal Mail.
