The Background  to the Nottinghamshire Environmental Association 'Data Protection Policy lies in the 'General Dat Protection Regulations (GDPR)" adopted by the European Union (EU) in 2028.  These Regulations apply to all Data (information) held by an organisation.  It is designed to prevent misuse of that Data.

 

The NEA Data Protection Policy 2025 - Constitution Appendix No 1  was approved by Members and adopted at the Annual General Meeting of 2025.  The main points it covers are:

• What Data the Association Gathers and holds on individual Members                           This is:  Full name; full postal Address; Mobile Phone Number; Email Address;  Landline Number where there is one.

• ​

• engage our Members in meaningful discussions which promote ecological well-being;

• provide opportunities for our Members to visit different places of environmental interest;

• keep our Members up to date with environmental issues.
